    definitely NOT recommended!! the setting is attractive. apparently the food is good. but the owner/cook is the nastiest piece of work i have ever encountered in my life in what is supposed to be a hospitality industry. i walked out after waiting nearly an hour for a sandwich!? when i went to inquire i was treated sooooo rudely. there is no way i was going to eat what that nasty person was preparing. talking to others i learned that she treats everyone that way. if everybody walked out perhaps she would reconsider her business tactics or hire someone who would serve with a smile.

    Great spot for breakfast in McBride. Your meal is cooked in a homestyle kitchen right in the resteraunt (you'll see what I mean when you eat here) and the coffee is really really good.

    What a lovely little café and visitor centre. The staff were kind and the food was amazing. The egg sandwich is a snack to behold!! And the pecan pie was pure glory. Idiosyncratic for sure, but a worthy stop on any journey. Loved the place.

    Run by a lovely couple. Make really good sandwiches. Only take cash or cheque. Not debit or credit cards.

    The website does not do this place justice. This place rocks. Good old-fashioned home-cooking. The best breakfast I've had in ages, with home-fries to die for and deliciously cured ham. Very friendly atmosphere and great coffee. Only drawback- it takes a while to get your food after you place your order. So grab your coffee, sit down and prepare to wait. But it's definitely worth it. They have wi-fi so maybe bring your phone to look at. We ended up chatting with fellow customers which was great fun. Also excellent home-made pies made only with fresh fruit, not canned.
